Lentil Dal / Dahl Recipe - Jar Mix


This one jar Lentil Dal recipe makes a very flavoursome dinner for 4. By following these simple steps you will thank us later for this quick, easy and delicious dinner. 

All you need is a large saucepan with a lid, this jar, some oil and a tomato. 

Organic Green Lentils, Organic Red Lentils, Dried onion, Turmeric, Chilli Powder, Garlic Powder, Cumin Powder

1. Heat the oil in the pan 

2. Add one large tomato, chopped into chunks and cook for 2mins 

3. Pour in the ingredients from the jar and stir for one minute 

4. Add 1 1/2 jars or 3.5 cups of stock (your preference). You can just use water, it will still taste great, the stock just gives it that little bit extra.

5. Once boiled reduce the heat to low, pop the lid on and cook for about 20mins. Be sure to check on it and stir occasionally. You may add extra liquid if it still need time to finish cooking. It's finished cooking once the lentils are large and soft and the flavours are fragrant.

Enjoy with some cooked rice, on its own, with some naan bread or with some roasted or steamed vegetables. The options are endless, but we are certain that you will enjoy it no matter what.
